Onwards and Upwards: The Growth and Development of Franklinton Rising

Huge congratulations to three of our trainees who have graduated from our program: Deriel Mixon, Ivan Nieces, and Lathanial Covington-Bray (all pictured below). We wish you all the best on your career journeys!

Deriel Mixon was offered employment from CK Construction!

Ivan Nieces has decided to start work with our local 683 Electrical Workers Union!

Lathanial Covington-Bray was hired by Connect Housing Blocks!

Franklinton Rising Continues To Grow And Provide Affordable Housing

As we close the year and ready operations for 2024, we are expanding to the Near East Side of downtown and are planning to hire an additional group of trainees to initially build five affordable housing units. We need as much help as possible and hope that you will decide to partner with us to help reduce poverty in inner-city neighborhoods. Your donation will help launch our 2nd neighborhood and help many young people out of poverty.

The Progress Continues on 93 Chicago Avenue 

Huge thank you to Brownwood Roofing for putting the shingles on 93 Chicago Ave! This past month we have been working on plywood sheeting, deck framing and HVAC pipe installation.

We would like to give a special shoutout to Faith Driving School in Hilliard for providing us with an Instructor Brake System which will allow safer operation of our training car while we teach safe driving skills in preparation for the driver’s test.

Additionally, thank you to Ohio Power Tool and Milwaukee for donating electrician's pouches containing a variety of necessary tools!
